RSG Philippines opens MSC campaign with commanding sweep of Cambodia's See You Soon

RSG Philippines flexed their might in their international debut with a 2-0 sweep of Cambodia's See You Soon in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asian Cup (MSC) 2022 group stage on Saturday.

With the win, the Filipinos now lead Group B. They will next face RSG Singapore for a chance to secure top seeding into the quarterfinals.

Despite conceding the first blood in Game 1, RSG leaned on Dylan "Light" Catipon (Franco) and Arvie "Aqua" Antonio's (Kagura) mechanical plays in the 6th minute to score a decisive 4-0 wipe and take control of the match.

Season MVP Light then executed a 12th minute flicker and Bloody Hunt play on Leng "FelixBoyloy" Kimhak (Esmeralda) in a mid lane ambush that chipped away SYS's defensive line leading to a wipe out within 30 seconds for the opening win.

It looked like a sweep was on the way after RSG took control of the early goings of Game 2 and was on the verge of securing a decisive 9th minute lord until Keo "Sensei" Sokkheng (Ling) executed a clutch lord steal that gave the Cambodians the turret takedown lead and equalized the net worth.

With momentum on their side, See You Soon played an aggressive five-man ambush on the top lane hoping to take down the Filipino gold and mid laners but RSG mechanically outplayed their opponents to score a 5-3 wipeout and secure the luminous lord.

The MPL Philippines Season 9 champions then punished SYS's miscalculated aggression in the 17th minute with a 3-0 wipe to complete the sweep.
