Vermosa to hold Green Run to promote nature appreciation, physical and mental health
Vermosa, an Ayala Land Estate in Imus, Cavite, will be staging 'The Green Run', a one-day multi-level run to promote both appreciation for nature and active lifestyles on July 3.
The run will have 21K, 10K, 5K and 3K distance categories and will be open to runners of all levels, from elite athletes to casual enthusiasts.
Vermosa partnered with fitness event organizer Pinoy Fitness to conduct the run, which will also feature a medal created by artist Cynthia Bauzon-Arre of Forest Foundation Philippines. As part of the event's advocacy for a greener tomorrow, proceeds of the run will go to Haribon Foudnation's Adopt-a-Seedling Program.
“As more places begin to reopen, we can now enjoy the outdoors with more activities to engage in. I personally advocate sports and spending time outdoors as it helps boost physical and mental health. Physical activities, like running, provide a change of scenery and help reduce stress. This is why we organized the Vermosa Green Run," Vermosa Estate Head Jay Teodoro said.
"We want people to rediscover their surroundings, appreciate nature, enjoy the fresh air and boost their health.”
Vermosa is home to the Ayala Vermosa Sports Hub, a state-of-the-art, professionally-managed sports facility that has hosted national and international sporting events. The hub has a FINA-standard Olympic-size swimming pool, an IAAF standard 400m track oval, and other facilities for both amateurs and pros alike.
