Alex Eala, Spanish partner advances to W25 Palma de Rio semis

Alex Eala and Spanish partner Marina Bassols Ribera on Wednesday (Spain time) advanced to the semifinals of the W25 ITF tournament held in Palma de Rio in Spain.

The duo defeated American Ashley Lahey and Spanish Marta Huqi Gonzalez Encinas, 6-1, 6-3, in the quarterfinals of the tournament.

In the semifinals on Thursday, Eala and Ribera will face Russian Valeria Savinykh and Fanni Stollar of Hungary.

Eala is also playing in the singles tournament on Thursday (local time) where she will face French opponent Jessika Ponchet in the second round.
