Onic takes second win of season with great escape against Nexplay EVOS

Onic Philippines survived a chaotic encounter against Nexplay Evos with a 2-1 escape in Week 2 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 10 on Saturday.

It was their second win in three matches so far as the young roster of Onic once again proved that they are here to compete amongst the pros. They now have five points to take the third spot in the standings.

Onic opened the floodgates in the Game 1 via a 4-0 wipe in the 7th minute that they quickly followed with a 3-0 wipe in the 10th courtesy of Mariusz "DONUT" Tan's (Wanwan) double kill.

The hedgehogs did not let up and quickly conquered NXPE in the 15th minute, capping off the domination with another 4-0 wipe to finish with a massive 17-4 kill spread.

Rookie Ralph "Rapidoot" Adrales (Grock) took the MVP of the match honors with a 2-2-13 KDA.

In Game 2, Mico "Micophobia" Quitlong (Khufra) executed pinpoint Tyrant's Revenge set-ups to lead Nexplay's first two kills as the fan favorite dictated the tempo early on.

NXPE was in control of the match until Onic retaliated an ill-advised overstaying in their base to score a 2-0 pick off in the 15th minute and convert it into a luminous lord take.

It looked like Onic was on the way for a sweep with the lord marching after another 2-0 takedown but DONUT (Irithel) responded tremendously, spearheading the retaliation to force a 4-2 exchange and equalize.

It was Kenneth "Nets" Barro's (Wanwan) time to shine in the rubber match as he exploded in the early game with a 4-0-0 KDA after a double kill in the 4th minute.

Not even John Paul "H2wo" Salonga's (Hayabusa) clutch lord steal in 10th minute could stop Onic's surge as the hedgehogs always found the response to NXPE's initiations culminating in a 15th minute 5-1 wipeout.

Nets finished with a massive 10-1-3 KDA in the close out win.
