Blacklist makes quick work of skidding Nexplay, regains top spot


Blacklist International scored their third straight win while handing Nexplay EVOS their sixth straight loss via a 2-0 sweep in Week 5 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 10 on Friday.

Blacklist continued to lord over the top spot with 17 points, just two points ahead of second-running RSG Philippines (15 points), who swept Omega Esports earlier. 

Nexplay decide to field an all-new line-up in the series, inserting social-media personality Setsuna "Dogie" Ignacio and moving Renejay "RENEJAY" Barcase to his old spot in the exp lane.

The surprises, though, did not work on Blacklist. The reigning M3 world champions had their way with an early game invade leading to a 3-0 kill lead in the 4th minute that they easily extended into a 6-1 kill dominance with a 6k net worth lead by the 7th minute.

Kiel "Oheb" Soriano (Claude) capped off Blacklist's scintillating performance with a double kill in the 15th minute that highlighted a close out 5-1 wipeout.

The Tier One-backed squad did not let up in Game 2 with Danerie James "Wise" Del Rosario (Natalia) leading the way to a 4-0 kill lead by the first minute.

They continued with the pressure and scored another 3-0 wipe in the 7th minute to take a 10-3 kill spread.

But NXPE showed their heart as they managed to extend the match until Blacklist displayed impressive strategic engage in the 17th minute lord fight, taking a 3-1 exchange to complete the sweep.
