Khamzat Chimaev makes quick work of Holland at UFC 279

UFC's no. 3 welterweight Khamzat Chimaev needed less than a round to dispatch Kevin Holland in their three-round catchweight fight in the co-main event of UFC 279 this Sunday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Chimaev, who had his main event bout with Nate Diaz canceled after he weighed 7 ½ pounds over the limit, went and got a takedown right in the opening seconds of round one. He dominated on the mat then caught Holland with a D'arce choke, making him tap just 2:13 into the fight.

It was Chimaev’s fifth victory via submission as he remains undefeated with a record of 12-0 while Holland dropped to 23-8.
