Onic's Rapidoot clarifies issue about tryout with RSG PH
Onic Philippines roamer Ralph "Rapidoot" Adrales clarified that he did not mean to offend or disrespect when he shared to the media the story about the time when he almost made it into the RSG Philippines roster in Season 9, mentioning he could've been the one in Dylan "Light" Catipon's spot.
He ended up backing out from the bootcamp invite citing his desire to enter MPL PH with his teammates at Monster Anarchy. His comments seemed to not sit well with some fans, leading to Light speaking on the issue after their win against TNC on Friday.
"Gusto niya raw lima sila mag-MPL di ba? All Onic? So bakit siya nagtry-out in the first place kung gusto niyang lima sila?" he said.
To which the soft-spoken Rapidoot responded,
"Lahat naman ng players pwede i-take yun (tryout) kasi sayang yung experience," he said.
"Then nung pinapapunta ako ng bootcamp na, kasi sabi top two na lang daw eh, sinabi ko kay coach wag na, di na ako tutuloy. Tapos sakto nun nagkasakit ako. Tapos sinabi ng coach namin sa Monster Anarchy kay Coach Gie. Wala naman ako intensyon na magalit sila or awayin sila kasi kinwento ko lang naman yung sinabi sakin kasi nag-videocall kami ni Coach Gie."
Rapidoot personally reached out to RSG PH to clear the air with the rival team.
He was so concerned about the issue that he even asked tournament host Mara Aquino before their match on Saturday if Light was mad at him because of the way his story was framed by fans.
The Onic PH player bats for peace in his message to Light.
"Masarap maglaro nang walang kaaway. Enjoy lang. Kalmado lang tayo," he said.
