MPL Indonesia: Flu-hit Kairi leads Onic to another win; Coach Vren, Markyy make it three in a row

Prior to the beginning of Week 6 of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Indonesia, the MLBB community was shattered by the announcement of Evos Legends to send Gerald "Dlar" Trinchera to the MLBB Development league leaving three teams with Filipino import players vying for the playoffs.

Allen "Baloyskie" Baloy and Jaymark "Janaaqt" Lazaro, though, hit a wall in Week 6 after they failed to score their third season win and are in danger of early elimination from playoff contention.

Kairi delivers bigtime in 'flu game'

Onic Esports only had one match in Week 6 and Kairi "Kairi" Rayosdelsol was supposed to skip the series after going down with flu but after Onic fell in Game 1, the Filipino import jungler talked to the coaching staff to play in the series.

And his re-entry quickly turned the series around, including a resounding 16-0 shut out of Rebellion Genflix in Game 3 where Kairi finished with a 6-0-6 KDA on Aamon.

Onic sits atop the standings with a massive 8-2 record going into the final two weeks. They have been undefeated since their 2-1 loss to Evos Legends last August 26.

Bigetron boosts playoff bid with a pair of wins in Week 6

Filipino import coach Vrendon "Vren" Lin continues to lead Bigetron Alpha to an impressive resurgence as they scored their third consecutive win, including a 2-0 sweep of former league leading Aura Fire.

Filipino goldlaner  Marky “Markyyyyy” Capacio provided ample support in the series against Aura, finishing with stellar 2-1-5 and 1-0-7 KDAs on Melissa in the two-game series.

They capped off Week 6 with a 2-1 reverse sweep of Geek Fam Indonesia to inch closer into the top half of the standings at 5-6, just 1 game behind fourth-running Evos Legends (5-5)
