RSG reaches final four with sweep of Onic

RSG Philippines avenged their regular season woes against Onic Philippines, posting a 3-0 sweep to march into the top four of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 10 playoffs on Thursday.

RSG, who was 0-4 against the Hedgehogs in the regular season, displayed poise and composure in securing a much-needed revenge win against their tormentors to arrange an upper bracket match against Echo.

Game 1 looked like Onic's for the taking after emerging on top of a 12th minute lord fight, securing the lord off a 2-1 exchange. But RSG mounted a comeback in the 16th minute with a nifty conceal play that gunned down a 3-0 wipe, which they converted into a luminous lord take.

With the game at a standstill, Onic sent Kenneth "Nets" Barro (Beatrix) in the 20th minute for a mid lane split push while other members engaged RSG in a lord dance. But the gold laner failed to complete the base turret take down and the Hedgehogs succumbed to a 3-0 punish.

RSG continued with their stellar play, employing superb macro strategies early in Game 2 to establish a 3k net worth lead that they extended into a 5k route courtesy of Eman "EMANN" Sangco's (Irithel) triple kill during a 9th minute mid lane skirmish.

The defending champions methodically broke down Onic and completed the dominant performance with a clean 3-0 wipe during a 17th minute lord fight to reach match point.

Stephen "Sensui" Castillo (Dyrroth) opened Game 3 with urgency, taking a 6-2-3 KDA early in the 6th minute to lead Onic's 12-7 kills spread with a 2k gold lead. But RSG responded with an isolation pick off on Frince Miguel "SUPER FRINCE" Ramirez (Pharsa) in the 7th minute to secure the turtle and equalize the economy.

RSG continued to mount the pressure, positioning magnificently during an 11th minute lord dance to secure the objective then followed up the play with a 2-1 exchange to take control.

The Raiders then secured the luminous lord late in the 14th minute lord then Dylan "Light" Catipon (Jawhead) executed a flicker plus ejector play in the 16th minute. That touched off a 3-0 wipe but they could not finish off Onic yet as SUPER FRINCE unleashed a timely Feathered Airstrike helping Nowee "Ryota" Macasa (Esmeralda) score a double kill for a successful defense.

The reigning MSC Champions needed to clutch a 22nd minute top lane team fight to force a 2-0 pick off and put away the pesky Onic squad.
