Bren Esports advances to second round; Onic PH, ECHO suffer losses in Day 2 of MPL Invitational

Bren Esports was the only Philippine team who won a match on the second day of the 2022 MPL Invitational on Thursday.

Bren Esports defeated Indonesian team Bigetron Alpha, 2-1, in a best-of-three series in the first round of the tournament to set up a duel against Indonesia's EVOS Legends in the second round.

Meanwhile, Onic Philippines suffered a reverse sweep against Indonesian team Aura Fire, 2-1, while ECHO lost against EVOS Legends, 2-1.

On Wednesday, RSG Philippines beat compatriot Omega Esports, 2-0, to advance to the next round against Indonesia's Alter Ego.

MPLI, an invitational tournament organized by Moonton and One Esports, will run until November 6.
