Joshua Pacio looks to keep unbeaten streak in Manila

Reigning ONE strawweight world champion Joshua Pacio is looking to keep his unbeaten streak in Manila when he takes on Jarred Brooks in the main event of ONE 164 on Saturday, December, 3 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Pacio, 20-3 as a professional mixed martial artist, will see action inside the cage against the former UFC fighter Brooks for the first time since September 2021.

Refusing to engage in a war of words with his counterpart, the Filipino MMA star only had a few words for his foe.

"We only lose in English-speaking. Honestly, I have been undefeated here in my country Philippines and I plan to do that again this December 3rd," Pacio said during the ONE 164 pre-fight press conference at Solaire Theatre.

The number one strawweight contender Brooks, meanwhile, highlighted the rugged training regimen he had to endure in preparation for Pacio.

According to the brash American, the Team Lakay representative would be on the receiving end of his onslaught come fight night.

"This fight has been leading up the past six months. I have been training with world champion caliber fighters. It has been really tough and rough experience in training camp. I am going to show all against your boy this Saturday," Brooks said.

"I am going to chop off the head of this Filipino and bring it back to the United States."
