Demetrious Johnson vs. Adriano Moraes III to headline ONE US debut

Asia’s largest martial arts promotion ONE Championship is finally set to make its long-awaited US debut to be headlined by a trilogy fight between ONE flyweight world champion Demetrious Johnson and Adriano Moraes on May 5 at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado.

“This is a monumental day in the history of ONE Championship as we announce our U.S. on-ground debut in Colorado on Friday, May 5,” said ONE Championship chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.

“We are very grateful for the support of the state athletic commission and look forward to putting on an unforgettable show for our passionate fanbase in the U.S. and watching around the world.”

Johnson, a former UFC fighter touted by many as the greatest mixed martial artist of all time, experienced losing via knockout for the first time in his career when he fought the then champion Moraes in April 2021. A rematch took place more than a year later where Johnson got even by winning the rematch also by way of knockout in the fourth round.

Two of the best fighters in the ONE Championship roster, the pair will look to settle the score once and for all in ONE’s first event in the USA.
