Kairi, Onic Esports through to M4 upper bracket; Dale's Falcon tops Group A
Filipinos continue to make their marks in the ongoing Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M4 World Championships being held at the Tennis Indoor Stadium Senayan in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Pinoy coach Denver "Yeb" Miranda and jungler Kairi "Kairi" Rayosdelso and their Onic Esports of the host country have advanced to the upper bracket of the tournament after finishing at second spot in Group B with a 2-1 slate.
Kairi was nothing but sensational for the MPL Indonesia Season 10 champions. The Filipino jungler posted a perfect 10-0-4 KDA line in their group stage clash against Malvinas Gaming on Tuesday en route to a 20-8 win.
He then poured in another flawless outing against Vietnamese team MDH Esports, registering 11 kills and three assists on Angela as they secured one of the two upper brackets slots in Group B.
In the knockout stage, Kairi and the Indonesian club will next be facing another team that is also being coached by a Filipino.
Onic will be pitted against coach Steven "Dale" Vitug and his Falcon Esports, who had beaten reigning champion Blacklist International twice to formalize their top seed finish in Group A.
Meanwhile, Cambodia's Burn X Flash, bannered by Pinoy mentor John Michael "Zico" Dizon was dropped to the lower bracket after a winless 0-3 card as well as Incendio Supremacy of Turkey who fell to Blacklist and Falcon in the tiebreaker.
