All-female Team Philippines at the Cambodia SEA Games opening parade

An all-female delegation led by volleyball star Alyssa Valdez joined the opening ceremony of the 32nd Southeast Asian Games on Friday in Phnom Penh's Morodok Techo Stadium in Cambodia.

The Philippines fielded an all-women delegation for the traditional parade, and will only have Philippine Olympic Committee president Abraham Tolentino and chef de mission Chito Loyzaga as the only male members in the parade.

Hours before the parade, Olympic silver medalist Nesthy Petecio posted a photo with flag bearer Valdez while wearing their Francis Libiran-designed barong.

Gilas Pilipinas women members Jack Animam, Afril Bernardino, Janine Pontejos, and Mikka Cacho also posted their photo ahead of the opening.

The Philippines already has two gold, two silver, and three bronze medals ahead of the opening ceremony.

This is Cambodia's first time to host the biennial meet.
