Bianca Bustamante proud to raise the PH flag with her victory in F1 Academy Race


Pinay rising motorsport star Bianca Bustamante expressed her gratitude to all her supporters after achieving her first career win at the F1 Academy Race in Valencia, Spain.

According to Chino Trinidad's report on "24 Oras," Tuesday, the 18-year-old pulled off her win in the second round of the Circuit Ricardo Tormo at the race.

Bianca became emotional when the Philippines' national anthem, "Lupang Hinirang," started playing following her victory.

"It was a surreal experience. When it was playing, I just couldn't help but sing along because I am so proud of who I am and where I come from," she said.

"I, as a Filipino, I stood there not as one but with 113 million Filipinos alongside me. So, maraming salamat sa sumusuporta at susuporta pa," she added.

On Twitter, Bianca also celebrated her victory and paid tribute to her Pinoy roots.

"The anthem was played, we raised the flag. We Won! 100 emotions in 5min," she said.

Bianca also looked back on the the experiences she had to go through to enter the F1 academy.

"It wasn't an easy path to get to where I am, coming from the Philippines, and the struggles we had, and the difficulties. This has fine tuned me into the racing driver and the person that I am," she said.
