Blacklist International fends off Todak ahead of MSC playoffs

Blacklist International survived a Game Two hiccup to beat Malaysian champion Todak, 2-1, and cap off its Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup group stage campaign on Tuesday in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Blacklist, a three-time MPL Philippines champion and the M3 world champion, capped off the eliminations with a 2-0 win-loss slate while Todak will end with an even 1-1 card. Both teams will advance to the playoffs.

It was a hot start for the Codebreakers, surging to an 11-1 kill spread even before the first lord appeared with midlaner Kenneth "Yue" Tadeo and gold laner Lee Howard "Owl" Gonzales forming a duo with their Novaria and Beatrix.

Todak could not defend the base during the last clash as Owl's double kill propelled Blacklist to the victory, 15-2.

Blacklist was well on its way of sweeping Todak in Game 2 as it held a 12-2 lead in kills and secured almost all objectives but Malaysia's CikuGais (Claude) took everyone by surprise with his backdoor play in the 13th minute to even the series to 1-1.

But the Filipinos needed just 11 minutes to finish off Todak in Game Three with Yue unleashing a perfect KDA of six kills and eight assists against no death on his Yve.
