Team Lakay head coach believes Enkh-Orgil acid test for Jhanlo Sangiao

Team Lakay head coach Mark Sangiao believes that his son Jhanlo is set to figure in his toughest fight to date when he goes against Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu on the undercard of ONE Fight Night 13 on August 5 at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The 21-year-old Jhanlo (6-0) has won all three of his fights in ONE Championship via submission. His past two performances were so good that they got him a $50,000 performance bonus. Baatarkhuu, however, is on a different level, according to his dad.

"He will be tested. This fight with Enkh-Orgil will tell if he is ready to go up the rankings. Jhanlo is ready, I hope we get the victory," Sangiao stated.

"Enkh-Orgil can absorb punishment. He is strong, has wrestling, and at the same time, he wants to make you surrender. This is why we created a good game plan for Jhanlo."

Baatarkhuu, 9-2 as a professional mixed martial artist, has been on a tear since he got to the main roster of ONE Championship. He defeated Jhanlo's teammate Adonis Sevilleno by decision last April and then stopped Rockie Bactol in round one the following month.

According to Sangiao, the team understands what Jhanlo is facing next.

"There is pressure so we really needed to prepare Jhanlo. I want to see improvements and how he performs. I hope he does well and wins the fight," Sangiao said.
