MPL legend Ribo makes pro comeback, joins Smart Omega for Season 12
Mobile Legends: Bang Bang legend Carlito "Ribo" Ribo is making a return to the competitive scene as he joins a rebuilding Smart Omega for the upcoming MPL Philippines Season 12.
Ribo, a member of the league's Hall of Legends, will play in the pro ranks for the first time since Season 7.
Joining him is the returning Joshua "Ch4knu" Mangilog as well as Duane "Kelra" Pillas and Patrick James "E2MAX" Caidic, who acted as one of the coaches in the previous season.
Completing Omega's roster are Jomari "Jowm" Pingol, Ezequiel "Spideeey" Cauilan, Nowee "Ryota" Macasa, and Andrew Lew "Andoryuuu" Flora while Ronel "Stronger" Tan will now serve as the head coach.
Ribo and the rest of the Omega team will look to bounce back from a tough outing in Season 11, where they bowed out of contention after a loss to Blacklist International in the play-in round.
Ribo is one of the pioneers of ML:BB in the country, steering Bren Esports to multiple titles, including the MPL Season 6 and the M2 world championship. He also played for Aether Main and helped the team reign supreme in Season 1.
