Carlos Yulo celebrates gold, silver medals in Doha meet
Filipino Olympian and gymnast Carlos Yulo celebrated his gold and silver medals from the Doha leg of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup Series over the weekend in Qatar.
Yulo won the gold in the parallel bars and silver in the vault finals of the tournament.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, Yulo shared his photos with the medals, along with his message to all those who supported him in his journey.
"Sa lahat po ng mga nagdasal para sa amin, para maging safe at maging matagumpay ang competition, sobra ko po kayong naa-appreciate," Yulo wrote on the caption of his post.
[To all those who prayed for us to be safe and for the competition to be a success, I appreciate you all a lot.]
Yulo, who will be heading to Paris in July for his second stint in the Olympics, previously said the international tourneys he is joining are part of his preparations as he eyes adjustments in his performance.
Aside from Yulo, Levi Jung-Ruivivar claimed silver in the uneven bars of the tournament's women's division.
Yulo, Jung-Ruivivar, and Aleah Finnegan are among gymnastics' representatives to the Filipino delegation heading to the Paris Olympics.
