Bren, Echo, Onic strike landmark deals with renowned esports orgs
In an unprecedented move, three clubs that are currently seeing action in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 13 have struck deals with three globally-renowned esports organizations.
AP. Bren, the defending MPL and world champion, announced that it has forged a partnership with Team Falcons, a high-profile company based in Saudi Arabia that has teams in numerous esports titles like Call of Duty, Fortnite, and PUBG.
Team Falcons has its own MLBB club now and even took part during the Wildcard stage of M5 World Championship last year.
"We are excited to soar to new heights with this new partnership and are thrilled to join forces with Team Falcons in uniting passion and skill in the world of esport," Bren said in a post.
"Please support us as we get ready to witness greatness together."
Another world champion in Echo has inked a remarkable collaboration with Team Liquid, marking a momentous feat for the Netherlands-based company as it officially enters the MLBB scene.
Team Liquid, which has been in the industry since 2000, parades a bevy of teams across DOTA 2, Fortnite, Starcraft, PUBGM, Valorant, and Hearthstone. They acquired Echo as well as its Indonesia counterpart in Aura Esports.
In a video released on its Facebook page, Team Liquid said it has also acquired Echo and Aura's respective MDL squads.
"Coming in with a different hue, bidding purple goodbye and welcoming blue. From the waves of the sea, we rise. Together from water, we'll make bigger tides," Echo said.
"We are now Team Liquid ECHO. And we're ready for playoffs."
Lastly, Onic announced its partnership with Fnatic and said it will now be called Fnatic Onic Philippines.
Fnatic, whose headquarter is in London, was founded in 2004 and has since been an esports giant with its prominent clubs in DOTA 2 and Valorant. Its Valorant squad recently won a title in the VCT Masters Tokyo.
"We’re thrilled to announce our collaboration with one of the leading professional esports organizations, Fnatic," Onic said.
"Together we will do our best alongside with them to chase after glory."
These historic events came just days before all three of AP.Bren, Echo, and Onic competed in the playoff round of MPL Season 13.
Bren ended the elimination round as the top seed while Echo wound up second followed by RSG Philippines, Onic, Blacklist International, and Minana EVOS.
