Alex Eala downs Australian foe, inches closer to French Open main draw

Filipina tennis ace Alex Eala took down Australian foe Taylah Preston, 4-6, 6-4, 7-5, on Wednesday to move a win away from the main draw of the 2024 French Open in Paris.

Eala previously defeated Ye-Xin Ma in the opening round of the qualifying draw.

The Filipino will face world no. 93 Julia Riera in the next round of the qualifying draw.
