MPL Philippines Season 13

Falcons AP.Bren soar past RSG, get shot at elusive MSC

The Falcons AP.Bren have won it all, except for one: MSC — an elusive feat the squad has a clear shot now.

This, after Bren flaunted its championship poise to oust RSG Philippines, 3-1, during their lower bracket finals clash in the Mobile Legends:Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 13 playoffs on Saturday at SM Southmall.

The win catapulted the Bees not only in the Grand Finals against Team Liquid Echo, but also in the highly-touted Mid-Season Cup (MSC) set to unfold this July in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Bren has the chance to complete its impressive collection of titles that already includes winning the SEA Games, the IESF, MPL, and the world championship, which the franchise has won twice already in M2 and M5.

Shrugging off a Game 1 loss, Bren rediscovered its identity in the next game after surviving a tight affair against the Raiders, who were coming off a huge victory against Blacklist International on Friday.

Roamer Rowgien "Owgwen" Unigo (Mathilda) proved crucial after picking off RSG's exp laner Nathanael "Nathzz" Estrologo (Paquito) with the circling eagle for the four-man wipeout. Owgwen's 3/1/12 KDA line earned him the MV honors and allowed Bren to equalize, 1-1.

Gold laner Marco "Super Marco" Requitiano then took over the rest of the way.

Using Moskov, he displayed his brilliance yet again, unleashing five kills and four assists with a 100 percent kill participation in Game 3, highlighted by the double kill on Nathzz (Arlott) and Jonard "Demonkite" Caranto (Barats) before they destroyed the base in 23 minutes.

Super Marco, this time on his Roger, bit down the Raiders with a massive triple kill before he rode on the minion wave to finish it off. Super Marco's flawless 6/0/3 KDA was more than enough to send Bren back to the grand finals as their title retention bid remains very much alive.

Bren and Echo will battle it out for one last time this season on Sunday.
