Esports: Philippine Collegiate Championship adds CODM, expects bigger second season
The Philippine Collegiate Championship will get bigger as it sets a new format and adds a new event for its second season.
In a press conference on Friday by PCC organizer Collegiate Center for Esports (CCE), it was announced that it will also hold a tournament for Call of Duty: Mobile, on top of its usual Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament.
A bigger tournament is also expected as the PCC will also hold Regional Cups in the National Capital Region, Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao and the winners of each region will directly qualify to the PCC National Finals, while its runners-up will be given the chance to compete in the last chance qualifier of the National League. They will face the survivors of the open qualifiers to determine the other four spots in the finals.
Collegiate teams can join the Regional Cups through the open qualifier.
Multiple teams can also join from a certain school, depending on the school population.
Registration for the MLBB tournament started last May 24, while the CODM tourney registration will start on June 16.
