Alex Eala falls in third round of qualifiers, misses Wimbledon main draw

Alex Eala fell to Lulu Sun of New Zealand and missed the main draw of Wimbledon on Thursday in London.

World no. 123 Sun swept Eala in a tough 7(3)-6, 7-5 match in the third round of the qualifiers which lasted for an hour and 40 minutes.

The loss came after Eala's wins in the first two rounds of the qualifiers against Jessica Ponchet of France and Tamara Zidansek of Slovenia.

In the French Open, Eala also missed the main draw as she fell to Argentina's Julia Riera in the third round of the qualifiers.
