Jeremy Pacatiw vs Ibragim Dauev showdown off after Russian fails to make weight

The much-anticipated showdown between Jeremy Pacatiw of Lions Nation MMA and Russia's Ibragim Dauev has been called off after the latter failed several times to make weight nor pass the hydration test for their scheduled bout at ONE Fight Night 28 this Saturday in Bangkok, Thailand.

Dauev, 9-1 as a professional mixed martial artist, submitted a passing hydration sample hours after the official window but was 7.25 pounds over the 145-pound bantamweight limit. ONE Championship proposed a catchweight but could not reach an agreement given the significant weight difference.

Pacatiw, who last saw action in April 2024 when he submitted Wang Shuo in the opening round, will still receive his guaranteed purse even though the fight was canceled.
