Alex Eala to face Maya Joint in the Eastbourne Open finals

Alex Eala will enter her first WTA Tour level finals on Saturday, making her the Philippines' first player ever to advance to the said round.

Eala dispatched Varvara Gracheva of France, 7-5, 2-6, 6-3, in the semis on Friday, and will face Maya Joint of Australia in the finals.

Joint is coming off a 7-5, 6-3 semis victory against Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the semifinals.

The 19-year old Joint is currently the WTA no. 51 and has won her first WTA title in the Morocco Open last May.
