7-year old Filipina rules Pan Kids IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship
Seven-year old Aleia Aielle Aguilar ruled the Pan Kids IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship held over the weekend in Florida, USA.
Aleia defeated Lyla Rose Warren in the finals of the said tournament.
"She (Aleia) is not afraid to compete at the global stage at her incredibly young age. I am really proud of her,” said her father Alvin Aguilar, who is also the founder of Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC).
“She fought pretty well, and her instinct, confidence, and consistency were great all along,” he added. “She fought different taller and stronger opponents from the other clubs abroad and she was not afraid to go up against anybody on the mat.”
Prior to the finals, Aguilar defeated Trinity Grace Thorne in the quarterfinals of participants under 46.60 pounds, before defeating Maite Almeida De Oliveira in the semis.
