Oheb stars as Team Liquid crushes Aurora for MSC semis berth

Team Liquid stamped its class with authority as Kiel "Oheb" Soriano linked up anew to dismantle Aurora Gaming, 3-0, in MSC 2025 quarterfinals on Wednesday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The victory propelled the Cavalry into the semifinals, bringing them one step closer to the coveted MSC title that has eluded the Philippines in the past two editions.

Oheb was unstoppable on his Granger in the first two games of the best-of-five series, dominating the same Aurora squad that had previously taken down fellow Philippine contender ONIC in the group stage.

The multi-titled gold laner delivered a flawless performance in Game 1, racking up a perfect KDA of 10 kills and 5 assists as Team Liquid cruised to a dominant win with a massive 15,000 gold lead over the Turkish representatives.

Jungler Karl "KarlTzy" Nepomuceno also starred in that Game 1 masterclass, unleashing five kills and nine assists on his signature assassin pick Lancelot.

Aurora, though, banned Lancelot in Game 2 but left Granger open for Oheb.

Oheb seized the opportunity to dominate once more as the M3 World Championship MVP put together a maniac in the final team fight at Aurora's base to help Team Liquid secure a commanding 2-0 cushion.

Finally, Aurora opted to ban Granger in Game 3 with Oheb being forced to pick Irithel in the gold lane. Aurora Gaming was able to keep Team Liquid at bay for most of Game 3 thanks to gold laner Siyar "Sigibum" Akbulut's steady play on Ixia.

Aurora contested the lord at the 18:20 mark, forcing Team Liquid to back off. Mid laner Alston "Sanji" Pabico (Pharsa), though, used the Feathered Air Strike that eventually led to three-man takedown on Aurora.

Team Liquid took advantage and used the minion waves to finish it off, advancing to the top four where they will take on either Onic Indonesia or Myanmar's Mythical Seal.
