Alex Eala vs Panna Udvardy: 2025 Guadalajara 125 Open Live Updates

Alex Eala defeated Hungary’s Panna Udvardy, 1-6, 7-5, 6-3 in the Guadalajara 125 Open finals set early Sunday (Philippine time) in Mexico.

History was made by the Filipina tennis ace as she claimed her breakthrough WTA crown. The world no. 75 Eala also became the first Filipina to capture a WTA title.

This was Eala's second shot at WTA title after her finals trip at the Eastbourne Open last June, where her gallant stand fell short after bowing to Maya Joint in the championship round. 

The 20-year-old overcame a sluggish start, mounting a powerful comeback over the next two sets to make history for Philippine tennis.
