PH darts ace Lovely Mae Orbeta captures historic gold in WDF World Cup

Lovely Mae Orbeta hit the mark for the Philippines, capturing a breakthrough gold medal in the World Darts Federation (WDF) World Cup in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. 

Orbeta, who ranks no. 84 in WDF main ranking for women, defeated Paula Murphy of the United States in the Women Singles finals to deliver the country's first-ever golden finish in the tournament. 

Orbeta also pulled off a huge victory in the semifinals, defeating Germany’s veteran star Irina Armstrong, 6–2, to advance to the championship round. 

Orbeta is also the only Filipina to win a gold in the tournament.
