SEA Games: Zyra Bon-as shocks home bet to clinch kickboxing gold

Another gold is in the bag for the Philippines courtesy of kickboxing ace Zyra Bon-as.

The Filipina fighter stunned Thai foe Jantakarn Manoban, 2-1, in the 2025 SEA Games women's low kick 48kg finals on Tuesday at the Assumption University in Thailand.

Bon-as previously defeated Bui Thi Yen Nhi of Vietnam in the semifinals with a similar 2-1 victory to advance to the semifinals opposite the hometown bet.

Bon-as' gold medal run served as the Philippines second gold medal for today after the rowing tandem of Joanie Delgaco and Kristine Paraon ruled the women's double sculls finals earlier today.
