What’s next for Alex Eala after Middle East swing?
Alex Eala recently wrapped up her Middle East swing after bowing to Coco Gauff in the quarterfinals of the Dubai Tennis Championships.
She now shifts her focus to the United States for the season’s Sunshine Swing.
Eala is in the player list of the Indian Wells Open, a WTA 1000 event, where she will compete against a stacked field that includes Gauff, Iga Swiatek, Leylah Fernandez, Madison Keys, Jessica Pegula, and Emma Raducanu.
She is also set to see action in the Miami Open, where she hopes to replicate last year’s breakthrough run to the semifinals.
In the Middle East, Eala reached the quarterfinals of the Abu Dhabi Open before she suffered a first round exit in the Qatar Open.
Before her Middle East swing, Eala reached the semifinals of the ASB Classic, followed by a first round exit in the Australian Open. She then flew to the Philippines where she played in the Philippine Women's Open and reached the quarterfinals.
