Asian Beach Games gold medalist Leonard Grospe sets new national high jump record at NCAA

Asian Beach Games gold medalist Leonard Grospe of Mapua University reset the national high jump record, pending ratification, after ruling the NCAA Season 101 athletics competition on Thursday at the New Clark City Stadium in Tarlac.

According to Philippine Athletics, Grospe cleared 2.22 meters to surpass his previous national record of 2.21m, which he set two years ago.

The feat also established a new NCAA record.

Grospe recently won a gold medal for the Philippines in the Asian Beach Games after clearing 2.05 meters.
