Antoine Huby climbs to 2nd overall after Tour of Luzon Stage 12 win; Pinoy Erickson Delos Santos finishes third
French rider Antoine Huby conquered the grueling Stage 12 of the MPTC Tour of Luzon on Monday in Pangasinan to surge to second place in the overall standings.
The 25-year-old Huby of local club 7Eleven Cliqq Roadbike Philippines clocked three hours, 17 minutes, and 37 seconds to reign supreme in the 146.4-kilometer race while Nikita Shulchenko ended up second.
Filipino rider Erickson Delos Santos, meanwhile, wound up third to complete the podium.
Shulchenko still holds the overall leadership with a total time of 36 hours, 16 minutes, and 21 seconds while Huby, who also ruled Stage 10 of the race, climbed from third place to second overall as Yousef Ibrahiem Alrefai dropped to third overall.
The Tour of Luzon still has two stages remaining, with riders set to tackle an individual time trial in Lingayen on Tuesday before the competition concludes with its final stage in Baguio on Wednesday.
