Alex Eala greeted by cheering fans at Makati meet-and-greet event

Alexandra “Alex” Eala received a warm welcome from fans during her meet-and-greet event in Makati on Wednesday.

Eala arrived in Manila on Sunday following a historic grass-court campaign that saw her capture her second WTA 125 title and reach the fourth round of Wimbledon.

At the fan event organized by Globe, Eala played games with select supporters as hundreds of fans watched from the mall's three levels.

“Maraming salamat sa pagpupuyat, maraming salamat sa pagdarasal. I’m doing my best to make you proud and sana subaybayan n’yo ako in my next matches and my journey to come,” a grateful Eala said in front of her fans at the Glorietta.

Eala is expected to return to action later this month at the DC Open.
