Gilbert Muge, Edna Magtubo rule Manila leg of Midnight Run Asia

Gilbert Muge and Edna Magtubo ruled the Manila leg of the Midnight Run Asia, held last Sunday at the Mall of Asia Complex.

Kenyan runner Muge clocked 1:10:15 to win the men's 21K, while compatriot Evans Bomer finished second in 1:12:58. Jake Samuel Barraclough placed third with a time of 1:14:35.

Elite runner Magtubo, meanwhile, topped the women's 21K in 1:21:09, followed by Pamela Chelpkoech Bundotich (1:24:15) and Eloisa Cusi (1:29:53).

In the men's 10K, Alfrence Braza clocked 33:40 to claim first place, edging Vincent Avestruz (33:42) and Justwin Guerrero (34:28). In the women's 10K, Nicole Diloy topped the field in 39:55, followed by Asia Paraasse (40:05) and Shiekhy Heart Supremo (40:22).

Noli Torre ruled the men's 5K with a time of 16:35, followed by Ronald Marilla (16:57) and Mark Anthony Oximar (17:13). In the women's 5K, Angel Lumacang emerged as the fastest runner after clocking 20:41, ahead of Lezamy Sanita (22:21) and Jo Punay (22:32).

"As always, the HOKA Midnight Run Asia has been one of our most exciting races of the year and it's nice to see the runners take this different challenge," said RUNRIO president and CEO Rio de la Cruz. "We're excited to see more runners in our next legs."
