Philippines set to host Asian Women's Volleyball Championship
The Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) gave its go signal for the Philippines to host the Asian Senior Women's Volleyball Championship for the third time.
In an update released by the AVC on Saturday, the organization said the tournament will be held in Subic and Clark on August 29 to September 5.
The Philippines was chosen after the original host country China pulled out as hosts.
The country previously hosted the tournament back in 1997 and 2017.
Meanwhile, the men's championship will take place in Japan in September.
Nakhon Pathom, Thailand will host the AVC Beach Volleyball Continental Cup in June, with the winners for the men's and women's event receiving a ticket to the Tokyo Olympics.
The Philippines is expected to send delegates to the three tournaments and the lineup will be coming from the national pool announced on Wednesday. — LA, GMA News
