Choco Mucho confirms ACL injury for captain Maddie Madayag

The Choco Mucho Flying Titans confirmed that team captain Maddie Madayag has been diagnosed with an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury on Friday.

The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) squad posted a get-well message for Madayag on social media.

“Thank you for leading the team. We are all praying for your speedy recovery from your ACL injury. Get well soon and we will see you on the court again!” the post said.

The former Ateneo star exited during the fourth set of Game 1 of Choco Mucho’s battle for third series against PetroGazz last Wednesday. She was seen hugging her knee after a landing, before being assisted off the floor on a wheelchair.

PetroGazz won both Games 1 and 2 to clinch third place in the tournament in the maiden professional season of the PVL.
