Jaja Santiago’s Saitama Ageo Medics bounce back with sweep of PFU in V.League rematch

The Saitama Ageo Medics broke out of a three-game slump after they defeated the PFU Bluecats, 27-25, 25-17, 25-18 in Japan V.League action on Sunday.

With the win, Saitama was able to avenge a loss to this same PFU squad, which the Bluecats won in three sets last Saturday before the Medics came away with the split with this win.

Saitama Ageo, which features Filipino player Jaja Santiago, climbed back up into a tie with PFU in standings with identical 3-3 records.

Santiago finished with four points in this one after scoring 10 in the loss one day ago. Teammate Mami Uchiseto led Saitama with 15 points.

The team will take on the Hisamitsu Springs (5-1) in their next game on November 6.
