Jaja Santiago, Ageo Medics fall to Denso in five-setter; Bagunas, Oita lose to JTEKT in V.League

After getting wins on Saturday, Filipino players Jaja Santiago and Bryan Bagunas, and their respective teams, fell to their opponents on Sunday in Japan V.League.

Jaja Santiago and her Ageo Medics team fell short against the Denso Airybees in a five-setter, 26-24, 25-23, 23-25, 18-25, and 15-11.

Santiago had 23 points off 18 attacks, four blocks, and a service ace in the losing affair.

Ageo (5-5) will try to bounce back against the Toyota Auto Body Queenseis on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Bryan Bagunas and his team Oita Miyoshi fell to the JTEKT Stings, 25-18, 28-26, 25-18.

From making 23 points on Saturday, Bagunas was limited to just 12 points in the loss, which brought them to 2-8 in the standings.

Oita will be back in action on Saturday against JT Thunders Hiroshima.
