Jaja Santiago's Ageo Medics bounce back, keep Toyota winless
Jaja Santiago and the Saitama Ageo Medics recovered from their previous loss and turned back Toyota Auto Body in four sets, 25-19, 25-21, 18-25, 25-16, in the Japan V. League on Saturday at the Kawagoe Sports Park General Gymnasium.
Santiago had another steady output, producing nine points off eight attacks and one ace while Mami Uchiseto led the team with 17 points, all anchored on attacks as Ageo bounced back from their 26-24, 25-23, 23-25, 18-25, and 15-11 loss against Denso Airybees last weekend.
Kelsey Robinson, meanwhile, paced Toyota with game-high 19 points while her teammate Mioko Yabuta finished with 13.
The win improved Ageo's standing to 6-5 while Toyota remained winless at 0-11.
Ageo will try to make it back-to-back wins against Toyota when both teams collide anew on Sunday, November 28.
