Bryan Bagunas' Oita absorbs fourth straight loss after falling to Suntory in five sets
By BEA MICALLER, GMA News
Bryan Bagunas and his Oita Miyoshi team still couldn't get out of their slump after absorbing yet another loss, this time against the Suntory Sunbirds, 20-25, 27-25, 27-25, 18-25, 12-15, in the 2021 Japan V. League on Saturday.
Bagunas drilled 26 points off 23 attacks and three blocks but it went for naught as Oita faltered anew. Kota Yamada and Emerson Rodriguez were also pivotal, finishing with 15 and 12 markers, respectively.
Oita will now be handed its fourth straight loss to drop to ninth place in the team standings with a 2-11 card while Suntory improved to 9-4.
The two teams collide anew on Sunday, December 5, at 12 p.m.
