Maizo-Pontillas, Pineda, Phillips sign with Petro Gazz as Sta. Lucia takes hiatus

It didn't take long for Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, Bang Pineda, and MJ Phillips to find a new home following the decision of their club Sta. Lucia to take a leave of absence from the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2022 season.

The former Lady Realtors on Wednesday formalized their signing with Petro Gazz, who needed a refuel after it parted ways with nine core players.

In a Twitter post, the Angels welcomed the troika as they eye to eclipse their third place finish in the 2021 PVL Open Conference.

Maizo-Pontillas, Pineda, and Phillips are just three of the newest faces in the Angels camp as it already reached deals with veteran outside hitter Nicole Tiamzon as well as former players Cienne Cruz, Djanel Cheng, and Jonah Sabete.

They will join holdovers in Grethcel Soltones, Myla Pablo, Rem Palma, Chie Saet, and Seth Rodriguez.
