Jules Samonte, Heather Guino-o join revamped PLDT squad
Two more young players will join the revamped PLDT High Speed Hitters.
On Wednesday, PLDT announced that former Perlas Spikers Jules Samonte and Heather Guino-o will join the new roster of the High Speed Hitters.
Samonte, 23, was a product of the Ateneo de Manila women's volleyball program, while Guino-o, 24, was from the Far Eastern University.
The 5-foot-9 Ateneo alum is happy to have found a new home in PLDT.
"I'm really grateful kasi biglaan lang din na-disband yung Perlas," Samonte said. "Akala ko, I was going to be with them for another year pa. It was unfortunate na na-disband yung Perlas but just grateful to have found a home in PLDT."
(I'm really grateful because Perlas' disbandment was sudden. I thought I would be with them for another year. It was unfortunate that Perlas disbanded but I'm just grateful to have found a home in PLDT.)
On Tuesday, PLDT also announced that they acquired the services of Lhara Clavano, Wendy Semana, and Fiola Ceballos.
PLDT has been adding new players in its roster recently, including the likes of Kath Arado, Mean Mendrez, Jessey de Leon, Jovy Prado, and Dell Palomata.
