Jaja Santiago, Ageo Medics sweep PFU Bluecats

Jaja Santiago and her Saitama Ageo Medics team swept the PFU Bluecats, 26-24, 25-19, 25-21, on Sunday in the Japan V.League.

Santiago scored nine points off seven attacks and two blocks in the second of the Ageo Medics' back-to-back wins this weekend. Her teammate Yuka Sato led the Ageo offense with 11 attacks, while Tisheira Lorenne had 9 points and 3 blocks.

Melissa Valdes led the Bluecats with 16 attacks in the loss.

The Ageo Medics, which improved to 13-8, will see action next weekend against Himeji and Korube.

Meanwhile, the Sunday games of Filipino imports Bryan Bagunas (Oita Miyoshi) and Marck Espejo (FC Tokyo) were canceled.
