Alyssa Valdez amid breakup rumors with Kiefer Ravena: 'Please avoid making up stories'

Volleyball star Alyssa Valdez encouraged everyone to "avoid making up stories & spreading false rumors" amid her alleged breakup with basketball star Kiefer Ravena.

Valdez made the statement on Thursday as she retweeted the statement of her talent agency, VMG Asia.

"A lot of speculation has been made. We appreciate the concern but this decision does not involve any party," VMG said in a statement.

"Let us avoid making up stories and spreading false rumors. We hope that everyone can respect Alyssa's decision to keep things private."

VMG Asia also thanked Valdez' supporters and said that this will be the only time they will address the issue.

Rumors of Valdez' breakup with Ravena surfaced after the recently concluded Southeast Asian Games, where the women's volleyball team missed the podium finish. 

Prior to this, Valdez talked about their SEA Games stint in Hanoi in an interview with the Olympics website.
