Petro Gazz blanks F2 Logistics; Cignal stays alive with escape of Choco Mucho

Jonah Sabete and MJ Phillips led the charge as Petro Gazz pulled off a clean 25-23, 25-13, 25-23 victory against powerhouse F2 Logistics in the 2023 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Thursday at the PhilSports Arena.

Sabete was felt on both ends, finishing with 13 points built on attacks while Phillips made sure to the protect the net with two kill blocks among her 13 markers.

With the big win, the Angels have improved to 3-2 while F2 holds a 4-2 card.

Meanwhile, Cignal kept its playoff hopes alive after escaping Choco Mucho in a five-setter, 25-14, 25-11, 19-25, 17-25, 15-11 behind the veteran tandem of Rachel Anne Daquis and Ces Molina.

Daquis and Molina both finished with 17 points with the former adding 10 digs to her name while the latter collected 16 excellent receptions as the HD Spikers went 2-4.

Choco Mucho slipped to 2-3 despite getting 17-point outings from Isa Molde and Kat Tolentino.
