F2 books first semis appearance with win vs Army; PLDT sweeps Cignal to boost semis bid

The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers booked their first semis appearance in the Premier Volleyball League after defeating Army-Black Mamba, 25-15, 20-25, 25-20, 25-13, on Saturday in the All-Filipino Conference at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

Kim Dy led the F2 offense with 22 points, while Aby Maraño and Elaine Kasilag added 12 and 10 points, respectively. Kim Fajardo also tallied 23 excellent sets on top of five points.

Meanwhile, the PLDT High Speed Hitters swept the Cignal HD Spikers, 25-23, 25-23, 25-14, to improve its bid to qualify for the semis.

The PVL will have its penultimate elimination games on Tuesday as it heads to Iloilo City with Chery Tiggo going against Petro Gazz, while Akari will face Creamline before the final day of the eliminations on Thursday.
