PHL women's volleyball team opens SEAG campaign with quick work of Cambodia
The Philippine women's volleyball team is off to a rousing start in the Southeast Asian Games!
The national team commenced its campaign in the 32nd Southeast Asian Games on a high note after sweeping host country Cambodia, 25-5, 25-5, 25-5 on Tuesday.
The team is composed of Alyssa Valdez, Ced Domingo, Cherry Rose Nunag, Dell Palomata, Tots Carlos, Glaudine Troncoso, Jema Galanza, Jia de Guzman, Kat Tolentino, Kyla Atienza, Gel Cayuna, Michele Gumabao, Mylene Paat, and Bang Pineda.
The Philippines will play Vietnam on Wednesday as it hopes to make a top 2 finish in Group B, which also has Singapore, to advance to the crossover semifinals.
The country hopes to make a podium finish as the team placed fourth in the past three editions of the biennial meet.
