Philippines falls to Iran in AVC Challenge Cup for Women

The Philippine national women's volleyball team fell to Iran in their classification match in the AVC Challenge Cup for Women, 25-20, 25-13, 25-16, on Saturday in Indonesia.

The loss was the national team's third loss in five games in the tournament. After winning against India in a five-setter on June 21, the Philippines lost to Australia on Friday, making this also their second straight loss in the classification round.

However, the team still has a chance to end its campaign on a high note as they face Uzbekistan for seventh place on Sunday.
